That was hard, a full 18 minutes and had to stop I'm gutted so doing this again but not with a 6 day break between it's too long bloody night shifts. Feel a bit guilty now as I struggled at the end 😥 has anyone else get this was hard?

Go easy on yourself, working night shifts must make a difference. You are doing great.

I found this one a killer; I felt awful afterwards and really struggled throughout. It was such a relief to get back to the intervals in W6 1 and 2 - but weirdly, the 3rd run this week (which I was dreading after W5R3!) felt better: hard but I managed to keep going. It gives me confidence that even if you struggle with particular sessions that your fitness is building overall, and that things can fluctuate. I know a lot of people seem to find W5R3 better than expected then find starting W6 hard: for me it's been the opposite. So I wonder if other factors (eg general levels of tiredness and lifestyle things) play a big part. I can imagine it's hard with the night shifts and having to take longer gaps in between. I'm anxious about keeping this up once I'm on placement come October, for the same reasons. Anyway, good on you for sticking with it and hope next week feels better : )

It took me 3 attempts at Week 5 Run 3. 16 minutes, then 18 minutes then finally hit the 20. But yesterday I ran Week 6 Run 3 at the first attempt! Maybe because like many people I had always looked ahead to the final run of Week 5 with extreme trepidation and a lot of self talk about how I could never make that leap. But now I have the last few weeks seem really possible! Good luck to you.

Have you managed a second attempt now, Pagy?
