Scary 20 min coming up..

Ok.. I’ve had faith in the plan and achieved everything up until week 5 run 2.. sometimes it’s been a real struggle to finish the final minute or so but each time I’ve done it.

I’ve literally just completed Week 5 Run 2. The final 1 minute was the hardest yet.. well hardest since the very 1st minute back in week 1 run 1

If I found the second 8 minutes so hard how can I expect to manage 20!! Will be trying it anyway as part of a parkrun this Saturday anyway

Please read my recent post. I just ran 20 min in w4r2.

you will be absolutely fine.

All the best.

We have all been there . 20 mins !! Eek.. well we all did it , is it easy? no but then the feeling afterward wouldn't be so good 😊

Everything you have done so far has built you up to do this run and you will, just start slow and stay focussed and you will be just fine ..

Hi, don't over think it. It's a mind thing that 20 minutes will be a struggle. You've got this far so you're ready.. You've just run 16 mins with a 5 minute walk in the middle so you can definitely do the 20. Just don't go out too fast. Smash it on Saturday and come back and tell us. 😃😃😃

You'll be fine....it's always the last minute that is the hardest no matter where you are in the program 🤣 You'll be fine don't worry about pace if you slow down no big deal as long as you keep pushing to the end.

Well done for getting this far👍

Just trust in the programme- I thought it was a printing error when I first saw it- just didn’t think I could go from 8-20 minutes. But it works!

I went into the run thinking I could probably do 10 minutes and then walk a couple of minutes and complete the other 10. However when I’d done 10 I realised I was half-way and might as well carry on!

Whatever works for you but slow and steady does it every time, and enjoy the exhilaration afterwards. Go and smash it 😊🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

You ran 16 and cooled a little in the middle walk. You may find just running easier, I always did. Your legs will be ready... relax and just run it nice and gentle.

I did it today, ran slightly slower than normal for first 15 mins but was able to up pace for last 5 mins. Thought of it as 4 x 5 min runs, rather than 20 minutes, surprised myself. This programme works. You can do it.

Hi I just did the 20 minutes run this week. I wouldn’t say it was easy but I never felt it was impossible either. What helped me was the first 5 minutes went really quickly - I couldn’t believe I had already completed 5 mins when Sarah told me! That made the rest seem more manageable. Good luck anyway, I am sure you can do it!
