Hi, new to the forum and in week 2 day 1. Has anyone else encountered any problems with the app pausing mid run, finding it most frustrating having to constantly gaze at my iPhone
Frustrated-grrr!: Hi, new to the forum and in... - Couch to 5K
Frustrated-grrr!
I've an android HTC phone. App was flawless until week 9 when it reset on all three runs. Fortunately I had Strava logging my progress so I knew how long I had been running, but that's not helpful on the interval runs.
I only ever had one crash so I made sure all other apps were closed before I started c25k then my music. 👍
It happened to me once - week 2 run 2 I think. It's not just the C25K app either, when I carried the phone in a pocket it got sweaty on the longer runs and did all sorts of weird stuff.
I notice that it did pause, My iPhone was locked but I had it in my hands when I started doing week 1 session1. I'll try again tomorrow when I do, week 1, Run 1. I have an another suggestion. It's reminds me on the day I want but, why 8am? I would want it to alert me whatever time I like to set it. I could rate it in the app store but I rather contact the developer directly.
yes, had the same problem. Was running for ages before I realised. Not had any problem since, just make sure I don't hit my phone. Another problem, I had the run crashed and I had to start all over again. Very frustrating, particularly in the rain. Good luck. I am just beginning week 6.
Yeah, I started with this problem on week 8 run 3. Thankfully, I could just rely on Strava after that.
Yep, had problems W3R1, reinstalled the app. Out again on Wednesday, R2, & did the same thing again. Will have to wait until Friday to see if the app plays up again.
Yes. I just fast forwarded to where l was. I use my Nike running app to track what I’ve run. It runs along side C25K 👍🏻
Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.
Can't help in respect of the app, but you may find this guide to the plan useful reference for many other aspects healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
You *might* have better luck with the podcasts, in that if they pause you can tell immediately because they have music built in?
Otherwise the general advice of not having anything else running, make sure your phone is locked etc so random presses of the screen don't affect it ... mine paused if I did anything like take a picture or reply to a message.
I discovered that the audio cues on RunKeeper interfered with my app and made it pause if Runkeeper started talking to me! I have turned the audio cues off on Runkeeper and this seems to have solved the problem!
