Hi guys, random question as I know everyone’s different! But I’m just curious as to when you started noticing visible changes in your body? I’m just about to start week 5, I can definitely feel my fitness level improving but not noticing any changes visibly yet (I’m inpatient!). I do tend to eat a calorie deficit most days too so I am combining it with relatively healthy eating and some weights in-between that :)

I've just done week 3 C25K (but six weeks since I started healthier eating) and I can't see myself that my body has changed but everyone comments on how my clothes are starting to get baggy. So it's a nice compliment.

Aww that is nice. Yeah actually now you say that I have had a few comments saying I look like I have lost weight so I must have! It’s just not obvious to me yet. Good luck on your journey! Xx

About week 7 for me. I ate a calorie deficit too. Lost weight really quickly in weeks 7,8,9 and kept on losing it ever since. Good luck!

Ohh well done you! That’s good to hear then, hopefully over the next few weeks I will start seeing some changes! Xx

I started the programme mid June and recently graduated. I never carried any extra weight, but being mid-50’s, my body had definitely changed shape and lost some tone. I’m only 5’3, so it didn’t feel good.

Without noticing it creeping up, I’ve just realised I’m back to ‘normal’ (for me) again, and my fitness level is far higher. I feel great, and it’s a no-brainer that this new habit of running is here to stay. 😀💪🏻

Aww glad to hear your doing so well! I am definitely enjoying running which is something I never thought I would say 😅 so hopefully I can keep it up 😄 xx

Not sure about visible. I can definitely feel a difference in fitness though and I started to notice that pretty early, start of week 3 maybe.

I have just completed Wk7 run 1 and haven’t noticed any visible changes as such - but am still eating like normal and not dieting so could be why. But I have 100% noticed a change in my fitness and breathing while running and out and about. :)

Glad to hear your fitness has improved so much 😊 it’s surprising the difference it makes to your breathing! Good luck with the rest of C25K 😄 xx

Indeed. No longer do I come back from an uphill walk from the shops coughing and wheezing. It's all gone just in three weeks.

Weight loss is more likely to come with your diet than as a result of running at this stage. But, it doesn’t take too long before your body shape starts to change! I felt a definite improvement around my middle after completing C25K, losing inches off my waist!

One year on and I am really seeing changes; especially in muscle tone in my legs. My quads and calf muscles are so firm! I have lost 6Ibs in weight in the last 4 months after upping my distances to 10k.

Best of all, I feel mentally more resilient and generally happier. Running really keeps me on an even keel emotionally and for me, that is the best win of all. 😁 Plus I LOVE 🏃‍♀️ running so much. You are doing so, so well, keep up the good work! You feel good after 5 weeks? Well, here’s the good news, you can continue to reap new rewards, continue to improve, one year on. I know I have!

Good to hear your reaping the benefits of running! I’m just very inpatient about these things haha but hopefully now I’m almost in the more serious weeks of running I will slowly start to see a change. And yes I agree! Mentally I am much happier for sure 😊 I feel very good so far xx

I didn’t weigh myself until six months in. My husband had said I’d lost weight so I finally but the bullet and jumped on the scales of doom. I’d lost 8lbs just through running. Stick with it, it’s a health changing habit 😉

Congrats on your weight loss! I have a love hate relationship with the bathroom scales I must admit! But I am feeling much healthier and happier in myself so it’s definitely a positive change to be making 😊
