Week 4 conpleted

Has anyone completed Week 4 and redone the whole week I’m just thinking it may help my stamina as I live in a hilly place? I’m pretty exhausted by the end of that last 5 month run so wondering if I repeat that will get better?

I’m completing week 4 tomorrow.

If it were me, I’d try week 5 run 1 and see how you go on. You can then go back to week 4 if it’s a struggle

I run on a treadmill in the gym so can't imagine your run . Would say though that you should do what is comfortable for you. As long as you are enjoying your runs carry on. If you have to redo some weeks, so what. Enjoy

Hi Jessie no need to repeat any runs that you've completed. The programme is carefully designed to prepare you to step up to the next week so the only time you would need to repeat a run is if you don't complete it.

Living somewhere hilly can be challenging but just make sure you are going slow enough and you'll be fine x

Some people have chosen to repeat sections of the programme but really there’s no need to do that. The only time you need to ‘repeat’ a run is if you didn’t finish it the first time, and even then you would only do that run again (after a rest day of course) not the whole week. It’s OK that you’re tired after a run: it’s meant to be a challenge, but an achievable one. And you achieved it. Job done, move on, IMHO.

If you've succeeded in the week, no need to repeat it. Being in a hilly area, you are building up massive advantages over those of us who run on the flat. When you've graduated, you might want to visit a flat Parkrun, where you will most probably get an amazing time!

You could come and run your week 5 runs in Cambridgeshire with me. It's lovely and flat here!!! Haha!!

What I wouldn’t give to run on a flat the hills are a real tester. Although I would like to eventually do trail running as I am minutes from Ingleborough and the Waterfalls Trail in Ingleton.

Lovely part of the world, and am always up for a challenge, but glad to be building up my running on more even terrain! 😉

Hi jessieb887, I remember week 4 so well as it was my nemesis 😭😭 I also repeated it as in my mind I felt I needed to complete it again as I couldn’t complete the week 4 run 3..

however, I have now completed and graduated back in May. I run 3 times a week and I still listen to C25k podcast.. You will get there just BELIEVE IN YOURSELF 😉

If you HADN'T completed it, I would say yes, do it again. That's what I did (5 years ago now!) because I wasn't bothered how long the whole thing took me, I just wanted to get to the end, without injury, and become "a runner". But you DID complete it so, as the others have said, pat yourself on the back, keep it nice and steady, and move on. Well done!

Not what you're looking for?
