The muscle I pulled in my shoulder/back last run twanged about 30 seconds before the end of my run. Breathing hurts and I feel like crying. Walking back home now feeling really shitty and super sore.

Ouch... not a fail at all.. a reason and a sensible one, to stop the run and wait until it heals.

Try a soothing bath, ( Epsom salts) or a warm shower and massage that back and shoulder... if it does not ease, then get it checked out by a GP or Sports physio.

We do when we run, sometimes, we hold ourselves very tensely and it can result in neck and back and shoulder pain... often very intense. We have to try to shake the shoulders and hands out, and relax into the runs... landing gently. ( I call it kissing the ground with your feet)...but it is a lot to think about..:)

Try to stay bright.. it will get sorted and we are still here to support you.. and the runs will be there too:)

Sorry to hear this. I would seriously pay to see an osteopath, but find a registered one and preferably one that comes recommended. Hope it eases very soon

Yes, that happens for various reason, being tense is one of them. An osteopath fixes that for a living, you will be ok soon but you must find out what caused it - bad posture, lack of core exercises or something else. If untreated it’s likely to happen again.

Awww HappyNoodle what a shame. But follow the others’ advice and get it checked out. Your runs will wait for you and you’ll be back at it before you know it.
