I was inspired by a young man who had throat cancer. He told me about his struggles over the last 18 months and his fitness being the thing that was on his side. He explained how on the day of his diagnosis he went straight out and did 5K. He had a 12 hour op. and was very ill for months but as soon as he could he was out running. I thought to myself “You don’t have a good enough excuse not to do this”. A week later I started my journey on the C25K. I missed a run last week as I had a cold. Feeling tired and weary this morning and about to embark W4R1 but I keep telling myself “No excuses!” When I put on my slippers I feel tired when I put on my trainers I feel like a runner.
