so, I have a really stupid question to ask...what do you all mean by consolidating runs after graduation? Is this just simply continuing the 30min runs until the full 5k is achieved?

It’s about not letting it slip and going backwards. Repeating at the same pace and this distance will keep the fitness levels rising for a good while, some have ambitions to then move on in distance or speed, others are happy with their new life.
Continue to run 3 times per week for a few weeks (even months) before attempting to increase distance, etc. Not that increasing distance is a pre-requisite. But keeping regular running is important. You have spent the past couple of months increasing distance so take the time to just enjoy this. It will build your stamina.

I’m in that phase now too, actually finding it q hard without a structure but have downloaded Laura’s 5k+ podcasts to give me a goal every session. Lovely tho Michael Johnson was I needed a change as do most of my running on a treadmill. Good luck 😉
As you can see, lots of people on this forum more equipped to answer that question than me. Personally, I'm a way off the 5k distance in 30 minutes. Fastest parkrun (5k) on the flat to date is 37:03. I have no desire to run further than 5k but would dearly love to keep seeing improvement. Not sure of the way to go. Xx
