Hi, I'm 42 and fed up of feeling fat and unfit. I used to get out of breath running up the stairs so dusted off the trainers, squeezed into my gym clothes and out I went. I'm on week 6 now and loving it. Not saying it's been easy though but hey, those stairs are so much easier now!

Me too, 42 and about 1.5-2 stone over weight (depending on what weight I want to end up at). Fed up of feeling rubbish because of the weight gain. I’ve just done W7R1 although it’s taken me 10 weeks to get here due to illness and bad back. Loving it, running is my new fave thing.

I'm loving it so far too, I've got about 4 stone to lose so it's going to take a while.

Wow you were running up the stairs that’s impressive (I live in a bungalow!!). Go you for doing something active and positive. Good to feel the benefits already. Keep going 👍🏻🙌👍🏻

I too felt unfit. I got off to a false start with C25K Im ashamed to admit i struggled with week 1 so i stopped for a while! Can't wait to do week 6 run 3 and then "graduate". It felt impossible 6 weeks ago and now i know it won't be! If anyone is at a similar stage then happy to meet up and run together! Who's on Strava i need some followers!

Hey there's no need to feel ashamed of struggling with week 1, I did too! And every week I look at the following week and think OMG I CAN'T DO THIS! Where do you go for a run, I generally always run on the beach. Plenty to distract me when it gets a bit tough. I'm up for meeting up for a run, you may change your mind on that when you see how slow I go lol

I did Aberavon beach front. On the pavement. It was on one of our really hot days so it was really hot (obviously) but also really busy.

No im not that fast either. It isn't all about speed though.

I go on the concrete down the steps though, not so many people there to laugh at me lol I was down there a few times in the boiling hot weather. If we can manage it in the blazing heat then anything is possible!
