Just done my 2nd (and hottest overall) run of the week and I’m proud to say I now seem (finally) to be getting faster. Even in the heat (maybe it’s the shorts 😁)! Still can’t do 5k in 30 minutes but don’t really care tbh. For now, for me, the main thing is I’m still running and it’s been 2.5 months since graduation.
My niggles seem to be settling down and I’m into a routine of gym/run/yoga/run/yoga/gym/run. ITB exercises after every run & gym session are keeping my back and hip happier and the bursitis is just grumbling occasionally when I walk too far in hard, flat sandals! So far a trip to the physio doesn’t need to be needed, and that keeps the bank balance happier as well! Phew! 😅
The only down side is that my youngest is wimping out of running with me during the week, but that will just mean I beat him when we do Parkrun on Saturday 🤓*Evil Laugh* “nyah hah hah” *Evil Laugh*🤓

Glad to see you're back into the swing of the longer runs and you've got that bursitis under control I hope you enjoy Saturday's parkrun - and your youngest will learn that he'll need to put the effort in if he wants to keep up with mum
Thanks Eiralas. Yes, I hope I don’t beat him but it may push him more if I do. He’s got a duathlon at the end of September so he’s got to get on and get the miles in.
He’s just got back from swimming dead chuffed for doing 1.25km swimming, but he thought it was a 50m pool when it’s only 25m 😫 never mind, next time maybe 😊
Have only just seen this!!?? I'm meant to be following you ~ thought that meant I'd see all your posts??🤔 Anyway, well done you! Glad exercises are working and niggles settling down 😊 And you're speeding up! Yay! Blimey, 2.5months since Graduation!😱 Really??
It is, but I bet you have loads coming through. I never get around to catching everyone’s posts. If you don’t jump on them immediately life sort of gets in the way (which is very inconvenient of it 😂).
Yes, scary isn’t it? I graduated end of first week in May, then I was laid up for a bit. Overdone it a bit today tbh but I got PB in Parkrun so feeling very chuffed with myself, 32.19. Nearly there! Now sitting with my feet up before I have to feed the blokes that make up my family. Think I’ll ease up a bit next week.
