Hey guys! So I’m doing c25k and currently I’m on week 6 tomorrow doing run 2. So far it’s been a journey and I love it. I used to go to the gym a lot but mainly weight training I could run but only on the treadmill for like 20 mins but never outside. Through the lockdown I was on shielding list due to some health problems and I found myself getting out of breath after one flight of stairs haha so I decided to start running when the shielding finished and I lasted 1km before I thought my lungs will explode. So then I started couch to 5k. And slowly my running is getting better in that my lungs stopped burning but also because I struggle with mental health. But when everything is so hard you can’t move and everything slows down I feel like moving speeds it up, and running changes my focus, I don’t think about anxiety or being depressed but now I’m thinking of getting enough air, speeding up or slowing down and just putting one leg in front of the other! And every time I complete it’s like some weight lifts of my shoulders! And the day is better! C25k was the best decision I could have made!
