I don’t think the heat at the moment helps at all so don’t be disheartened! You’re still Getty by our there & doing it, which is half the battle.
It’s normal to have a bad run every now and then, so maybe just repeat after your rest day(s) and try slowing right down. I’m finding the programme isn’t getting much easier but I’m finding longer runs the same amount of a challenge, if that makes sense?
You’re doing great though - imagine if you went back to when you were just starting out and telling your past self you were disappointed at *only* running 21 minutes straight!!
You are doing great Biccy, particularly given the weather conditions at the moment!
A couple of things I try are: change my route occasionally......just running the other way round any route feels very different and mixes it up a bit. Also, when it gets hard I use my mantra..... you can have whatever you want......something like......’I can and I will’, I also choose a target just ahead.....I will run to that tree.....then I immediately choose another target......I will run to that corner etc, etc. I think it helps to take my mind off the time running. Good luck Biccy, you can do it !
