Hi all,
I started really well but when I got to week 7 my motivation just left me. Stuck there for a month now. Haven’t been out for a run for that long. Is this normal? How do I get my mojo back please? I need help!
Hi all,
I started really well but when I got to week 7 my motivation just left me. Stuck there for a month now. Haven’t been out for a run for that long. Is this normal? How do I get my mojo back please? I need help!
The second my work life gets stressful, it tires me out and my motivation to do any exercise vanishes. Try and remind yourself why you started, and how awesome it feels when you do a really good run! Also, maybe find a new scenic route to run? And a jazzy new running playlist to keep motivated. You can do this 👊
Perhaps the hot weather hasn't helped you not being able to progress beyond week 7, nevertheless, the fact that you have got that far is no reason to give up. Get out there again soon, as you have been off running now for a month I would advise you, not to go back to week 1 but try a few shorter runs before continuing with week 8, I would repeat week 7 first, that way you should get your mojo and motivation working again.
Just pick your running shoes up and put them on..that is where the mojo hides out!
Lay out yr clothes the night before.... choose a rout you enjoy.... pick a cool time ( ha ha ) and head out.
A gentle relaxed longer run where the new legs start to find their happy pace. Think why you began this, amaze yourself with how far you have come... think of us and the champagne at the graduation party!!!!
I cannot run at the moment... so do this one for me...please!
I felt a bit blah at this point during the c25k schedule too. I think I was missing the variety of the earlier runs, and by week 7 I knew that I could do it where as in the earlier weeks I was giddy with surprise that I had finished without the use of a paramedic or an AED.
Suggest you mix up your routes. Add a gentle hill maybe. If you listen to music (I don't) but if you do find a new playlist. You are so close now, so focus on the end. You could even sign up for a 5k run. Get week 7 done and out of the way and get onto week 8.
Get back out there, your mojo sure isn't on the sofa!
I remember feeling like this Adisa and posted that I'd lost my mojo ~ Oldfloss gave me the same advice and she was right; I put my trainers on stepped out the door and there was my mojo! It's difficult to get back on it but now that you've posted on here make yourself do it ~ and report back to us when you're done! 🙌🙌👊 You can do this 😊
