The thing I love about this community (after graduating in March and being away from it for a couple of months) is that people are posting almost identical posts to mine at their various stages of C25K.

I love that people are raving about their week 2.

Or their week 5 run 3.

(You never think you’re going to make it do you!!??)

It’s so comforting. Don’t you think?

I so know how you feel. And, more importantly, I know that what you (we) are doing is something so special and incredible.

Please do not give up on this program.

It’s changed my attitude to exercise. I’m fitter and therefore very proud of myself. I was a happy person before... but C25K has made me feel very accomplished at the age of 55. Something I didn’t expect.

Ok I’m not out running every other day now like most of you are. I’m not out every week in this heat either!!! But I can pull the odd 5/6 k out of the bag whenever I feel like it now. How cool is that???

Can’t believe I’d ever say that. 😊

Love this community. ❤️ You are all so lovely. Keep it up and keep talking.

Oldfloss ! One of my inspirations. Slow and steady? Isn’t that your mantra? It helps so much.

What a inspiration. I agree with you that c25k has changed my attitude to exercise not just running I 'dalways bn fat ( I was over 104kg when I fell pregnant 6 years ago. ) 6 years on everything has changed! for the better even if I coudlnt see it at that time ijust weighted myself and im 67.5kg. I absolutely loved my run this morning and its knock on effect to lift my mood. Without c25k I'd never found my love for running and how proud you can feel about yourself for fighting those demons that try and stop you run.

Totally feeling the love on the group

That’s how I feel. You can only really get the support you need from people who’ve gone through the same experience. I wouldn’t have done it without my 2 apps. Couch to 5 K and HealthUnlocked.

Well done you. You are an inspiration. X

Hey Jude! How brilliant that you can run 5/6k when you want ! I’m back in the game again taking it slow and steady and back to week 1 again! But it doesn’t matter, I will get back to 5k again one day 😊🙌

Well I say I can run.... still haven’t been for 2 weeks! There’s always a restart at week 1 though. You take it easy. C25K is always there to get you back on track. 👍🏼😊👍🏼

Wow, you can still do 5/6k without going out regularly. I’m too scared of losing fitness if I don’t go out every other day, and also feel if I miss one then I would be on the slippery slope back to the couch 🛋. So out I go, and I do enjoy it. Guess I’m addicted well and truly. Happy running Jude1963 🌻

Well I did 6 k two weeks ago! I’ve yet to test my theory that I can do it again this weekend! It’s not easy though. I might have sounded a bit flippant! It’s really tough going. X

Yeah but you did it, that’s what’s important 🙂

The community is what has got me so far.....just completed week3 and I surprise myself every time.

Your story is very motivational simply because you are just another ordinary person focussed on getting fitter and actually doing something positive about it.....so, if you can....so can all of us newbies!!!

Thank you for sharing!!!

And well done on enjoying the freedom of choice as and when you want to run.....it's like getting wings to fly whenever you want!!!! 😊

Way to go!!!! 👏👏👏

Thankyou Hotheels. 😊

I enjoyed the rigid framework of C25K and, I think, that’s what gets us all through. Because we all know exactly what we mean when we say “I just did Week 3 Run 3”.

Either, we feel motivated because someone is doing the same run as us on the same day...

Or, we recall what it was like for us and compare notes....

Or, we aspire to get to that point because we’ve heard that it really can be done.

That’s the beauty of the C25K and this forum combined.

It is also nice knowing I’m free to run when I choose to now but also that if I feel I’m losing fitness I can just start it all over again! Many people do! (I know that because I read it on here!!!😂)

😊

Great to hear your story, as you say, there is always someone at every stage of the programme to share with, learn from or support, a really positive experience that goes way beyond starting to run a bit
