Ankle - update!

So, it’s just over 3 weeks since I graduated from C25K (yey!) but unfortunately the next morning I developed terrible ankle pain (boo). I’ve rested and it has improved but when I tried to run again after 2 weeks it flared. So I’ve seen a Physiotherapist today and the good news is that it’s nothing serious - likely tendinitis due to a general weakness of that ankle. I’ve been given some strengthening exercises and he said I’d be fine to get back to running (yey), but only if I start from week 1 again and do that alongside my strengthening exercises!!! 😮 So....here I am about to do W1R1 again!!!

Boo for the issue - hurray that you have a plan to be running again! That ankle will be up to scratch in no time!

Oh Gemma wishing you well, so brave to start again, but makes a whole load of sense - it will go so quickly you’ll be graduating before you realise it.

Do you use an ankle support? I do if I think my chosen route is going to be uneven and rough, otherwise not.
