Hi everyone and welcome to a new running week.

We are all so busy.....life can be hectic ........and even more so for us runners!

Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a chat about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.

Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.

If you're a lurker it is a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.

Wishing you all a happy , healthy and well hydrated week,

Oldfloss, Ju-ju, Realfoodieclub, Bluebirdrunner and me..Millsie-J. Enjoy X

Not sure I’ve found this before. Have run W7 quite a few times, so today we ll move onto W8, later safternoon, and in the shade. My knees will make a fuss, probably, but my brain will say β€˜shhhh’ and just slow down until they behave.

Hi all, stressful week last week with a job interview for an amazing job and still don’t know the outcome! Still I ran to keep going and maintain mental strength. This morning completed W9R2 - 15 min in felt tough but changed route/direction and kept going. Cloud, breeze and cooler temp helped too and I did it! Felt great after but now have jelly legs πŸ˜† Still waiting to hear about the job...

Good luck!

Stressful week for me too. I’m a TL for a large tech firm and I have to do end of quarter appraisals for like 18 people to be completed by Wednesday. As usual I procrastinated and now I’m rushing to get them all finished in time (and I can’t half arse it either because people’s bonuses depend on it!)

in reply to Warb81

EEK! No pressure then. Good luck - hope you get it done & they all get fab bonuses & love u.

Hi I'm new to the site but thought it time I got involved. Tomorrow I run W9r1. I am 62 and damaged my medial miniscus in January and told by physio and consultant to increase the muscle mass around my knee in the gym and avoid surgery. I somehow found myself doing c25k as running was less pressure on my knee than walking. I have never run in my life. C25K has inspired so many people. I actually don't believe I'm running; I cannot mentally accept it! The weather is a killer though and every run from week one to week nine is such hard work. Reading the posts about age makes no difference has really encouraged me. Thank you.

Excellent work TV!

The podium awaits

Got to W8R2 today. Been out for third time with my neighbour, who is also doing c25k. Really enjoy the company and the time flies by. Never imagined I could either run for 28 mins or run with someone else!

Graduated last week, and did my first post-grad run this morning. Tomorrow a friend of mine has asked me out for a run - he can do 10k in 40 minutes. Eek! But I can’t decline, cos I’m a runner now. I am so going to die.

Dont compete Mike..... just your own pace and distance will do. If he is a runner he will get that πŸ˜€

To be fair to him he said he'd run behind me. Bet he doesn’t though, I worked with him for years and he’s one of the most competitive people I’ve ever met!

Just back. It was great! Did my usual week 9 route, chatted all the way. Completed it about 2 minutes faster than I'd been doing during week 9.
