I’m on holiday and there is no suitable venue to run, roads have no pavements. . Good job I graduated before I came away, am away for two weeks. Will I be ok to pick up where I left off when I get home?

Are you in a hotel? Lots have gyms tucked away hidden in basements with never used treadmills.... did you already check?

Not in hotel on a campsite. It’s next to a busy main road.

Ask at reception, most hotels have a set of runs mapped out.

Did you see your badge yet......?

On a campsite next to a busy main road. Asked at camp reception and they said drive to this recreation ground 4 miles away

I run on country roads all the time - as long as you face the traffic ie run on the right hand side of the road with nice bright clothes you should be okay? Unless it’s an A road in which case no way!!

I get the feeling you are not entirely satisfied with these responses!

i reckon you will be mostly ok to have a couple of weeks off. i imagine you are not sitting totally still for the next 2 weeks!

When you do start again just see how it goes. if you find you can only manage 20 mins it wont matter. You will very quickly build it back up again.

Have a lovely holiday! You can enjoy this weather. Spare a thought for us sweaty workers in non air conditioned buildings while you sun yourself!

Where abouts are you?

Thanks very much for that reply Simon, I will take your advice and get running again as soon as I get home. We are in Cornwall and loving it, fabulous weather as is everywhere at the moment. Thanks again.
