It took eleven weeks but Iโ€™ve done it!

Update:

Thanks for all the messages. I must have been in shock and knackered as that was a pretty brief post!

So yep, Iโ€™ve finished, very pleased with myself. Eleven weeks is fine, I was (and still am) running two to three times a week. When I started I had a little 8 week old baby, now Iโ€™ve got a slightly bigger 19 week old baby. I canโ€™t beleive Iโ€™ve been running so long or had him so long!

Now I canโ€™t say I was bounding along like a springbok today, nor that I feel like I enjoy the run whilst doing it, but Iโ€™m sold on the feeling of achievement, and that my weight is going in the right direction.... down! So Iโ€™ll be looking into the next step programmes, look at improving my speed and achieving the 5K marker.

Oh and I think Iโ€™ll have to find a new route, I was happy with a path along side a field away from passing cars, but (some not all) dog owners are not picking up after Fido. There are turds every two meters, I could ignore that but when I come trotting past a cloud of flies swarms up from each one and my breathing is thrown out of whack as I desperately make sure I donโ€™t consume one, especially because Iโ€™ve seen what they were just eating!!

I start W9R1 tonight at the gym. Not ran since Saturday as work and home life have kept me busy. On treadmill so fingers crossed Iโ€™ll make the 30 minutes ok. Doesnโ€™t seem to get any easier!

Congratulations, don't forget to collect your badge ๐Ÿ… a lot of horses use the trails I usually run, so I feel your pain with the flies, I've eaten my fair share.

PS: Still totally amazed you're doing this with such a young baby, massive kudos ๐Ÿ‘ธ

That's fantastic - especially considering the logistics of the baby and all that recovery from the birth - oh my!... I don't blame you for seeking another route. It just takes one thoughtless dog owner and it seems other owners think it is acceptable to leave it as well. I speak as a dog owner too!

Thanks for the update and well done making all of this work with the baby. Not easy as another post today shows.
