W4R1, too hot 🥵

I'm about to do my W4R1 (after letting my food digest, maybe I'm procrastinating who knows) but I'm feeling super apprehensive about it in this heat! W3 runs 1 and 2 were fine but R3 in the heat was sooooo difficult and I'm really worried that I'm not going to be able to make the jump to W4 😓

Well done on completing week 3 of C25K, just wait until the heatwave is over before continuing to week 5, the weather forecast is for the temperature to fall by Friday so you will be able to run run 1 of week 5 on Friday.

Unless you have a shady route with a breeze, I’d do something else until the day cools off! It’s 24C down here near the coast, so most places must be even warmer just now. The run will wait and we don’t want to fill A&E with collapsed, dehydrated runners, do we? 😱 Could you run late evening? Or really early tomorrow? Do take care. Being sensible isn’t being a wimp. 🤣

yeah it's around 25 😬 i think i'm gonna attempt it while it's cloudy but i won't let myself get injured or sick haha, if i really feel like it's gonna hurt me that much i will stop and walk home. thanks for the concern!

Always run to the conditions. Slow down. Take some water with you. Wet hankie or Buff around the neck is good for keeping cool.

I did W4R1 this week in lower temps and the run is enough of a mental challenge without the heat added to it! I’m trying to think I want to do this long term so don’t need to rush it now, injure myself and bail! We’ll get there Yeontan 👍💪😊

well done for doing it! i'm gonna try my best but not beat myself up if I struggle with it, i think motivation is the hardest part right now

I suppose we’ve got to be a bit flexible - but it will happen! 😊

Yes it's so warm , I went out at 10 this morning . But to be honest I don't think it matters what time you go out it just seems warm all the time. Maybe just try your run if you want , you can always stop if it's too exhausting. Good luck 😊
