Which for me was 10.30am haha. But I was determined to run this morning no matter what the weather decided to chuck at me. So I thought I would give Laura’s c25k plus podcast a go. She was fab, 1234, 1234. Giving you the beat and everything. I stayed with that beat the whole way through, 1234, 1234. So why then was my run 0.10 slower than my last. So disappointed. I blame my parents! If they were taller so would I be, then I would have a longer stride and run further. Been a short arse means I have to take more steps to keep up with my longer legged friends.
Well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking with it 🤣

Well done Sandie, you did well...short quick steps are good training. You were working on technique and leg strengthening not speed or distance. A very good training session😊x
Oh really? I never thought of it like that, I didn’t realise that’s what she was doing. Thank you! I feel a bit better about it now then. I kept up with her beat religiously and thought I should have got further. I’ll stick with it now then. Thank you! 👍x
There are basically two options if you want to get faster: take more steps or take longer steps. We don't do the second one because that can make you over-stride and get you injured. No good. But we can do the first one, and you are!! Your strides will naturally get longer as you get fitter. Or at least that's what I'm telling myself.
My post-grad runs are all about cadence and stuff right now.
Thanks guys. I was disappointed thinking I was getting worse but apparently I’m strengthening legs & techniqueing (yes that is now a word!). Who knew 🤷♀️😂
