You might. You might not. Only 10% of people do. Does it really matter? You'll be a lot fitter than before. Plenty more time to get to 5K if that's your motivation...

I was just thinking the same - only 3.6 for me this morning on the same run 😆

I echo what Sallenson says - some days I get closer to it than others but the very fact you’re trying is better than not trying

I felt like that but can now run 5k comfortably although not in 30 mins!

You are aiming for 3 runs of 30 mins, don't worry about the 5k bit for now, if you are completing the runs you are on your way, once you have graduated you can think of running a bit longer and / or a bit faster, just think how far you have come already

I agree. Don’t get hung up on the distance as you might then start going too fast and end up on the injury couch (IC). Aim for 30 mins and you’ll get to graduation.

Hi, it doesn’t matter whether you reach 5K in 30 mins or not, the key is 30 mins running by the end of the programme 😀👍

Whatever distance you cover is a bonus. 😊 If you happen to reach 5K then all well and good, but I wouldn’t focus on that to decide how well you’re doing. 😉

You might get to 5K, and it might take more than 30 mins, but it really doesn’t matter. You’re doing so well, just carry on and you’ll get there eventually 😀

I can’t do it in 30 minutes and I graduated in April, but I did get to 10k within 3 weeks of graduation.

I will never run 5k in 30 mins, I dont think my legs would go that fast! But I can run for 30 minutes. One day soon I will run 5k but it will not be in 30 minutes. And thats fine with me. I'm able to run for the first time in my life!🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌🐌

Another “not in 30 minutes” here. Did the first one 3 weeks after graduating and in 43 mins. You will or you won’t manage it as you choose. Enjoy the next run.

You won’t. Or maybe you will. Hard to tell. Probably won’t. No chance you will. Unless you do.

Tell you what. You keep on running, forget about this 5K business and simply keep on running. One day you won’t even notice you’ve past 5 kilometres.
