I've done one run of the asics 10k plan - the first few runs are V.E.R.Y. slow one miles - last time I didn't get sweaty at all. This morning I think I shall just run!
Thanks Pc59 , Flossie22 , Oldfloss and Ullyrunner for the kick up the *!? I needed to get me out! It was glorious - bright, crisp and quiet with some lovely, smiley dog walkers. I managed to find a very old, very tatty thermal top to go under my t-shirt - I knew my legs would be fine but I was worried about my top: it occurred to me as I left the house that I could have worn anything! Doh! And, yes, Ullyrunner, glowing slightly!!
I've got one (yay Aldi!), I nearly took it but I have a close fitting, high neck hoodie which, coupled with the thermals, did the job. If it gets much colder I shall wear it tho. And it was lovely!
Lovely morning for a run wasn't it? I wore my buff headband style with a beanie on top, as suggested by misswobble (well she suggested a cap , I thought great idea)! I get really warm when I run but today this was perfect.
Used my new long sleeve base layer too under my running jacket. I was toastie when I'd finished but not over hot so all worked well!
It was gorgeous. Layers a definitely the way to go. I did a slow, short run and it probably took me longer to get ready than it did to get out but I'm so glad I made the effort! And, yes! remember your gloves - sooo much cosier!
You sound like me this morning! I didn't wear gloves either, as I've not dug them out yet, but could have certainly done with them. I wore just my merino base layer. Normally it's too hot but as it was freezing, and I was only running a slow jog today (and it was NOT going to rain) I risked it. No jacket! Only a short walk home too, so I was ok to travel light.
Lovely and bright out. Leisurely jog round the local streets. Bliss!
It was bliss, wasn't it (and set me up for a very annoying day battling bureaucracy!)? I had my gloves (thank goodness). Definitely glad I made the effort!
