My last run was about 10 days ago now Week 8 run 1 - I was doing great really enjoying then life got in the way, we went away for the weekend and work has just been horrendous - I’m hoping/planning to get out Sat morning but not sure whether to go back a bit on the programme or just try week 8 again - any advice please

Try doing W8 R2. You should be fine. If you struggle, do W7R3 the time after.

I had about the same time off after week 8 as I got a horrendous case of tonsillitis. I only ran after I felt completely better and it was surprisingly fine. In fact the rest seemed to do me good. I imagine it won't be as bad as you think.
