The much anticipated run 3 of week 6 is just been completed and I sit here in the gym resting and writing this blog.
Who would have thought that 6 weeks ago I had to rest during the 60 second runs and now I ran for 25 minutes non stop?
My main enemy , as it is for most of you is the Toxic 10 or in my case 12 - during these first minutes every fibre of your physical and mental body is bombarding you with excuses to give up and do it another day - but .... if you push past the initial burn stage then the rest becomes a relatively calm affair.
My last 12 minutes were not too bad at all and instead my mind was wandering into serene things which caused me to come out of my rhythm.
But as Sarah M just told me - I’m a runner now so happy days!
Please forgive me now as I must sign off and remove this beetroot colour from my face and mop up the pool of tears and sweat from the floor below me.
