Is running on a treadmill easier than the road? Or am I just trying to cheat ? W9R1 and I don't fancy the rain today....so thought a trip to the gym will be ok for me today rather than doing nothing!?

It is said to be easier. Unless you are the Wicked Witch of the West, rain is really refreshing to run in....

It's just a bit boring Imnotarunner, 30 minutes of running in the same spot, unless you want to watch football while you run!

You will be able to find a nice steady pace to suit on the treadmill though and just maintain that til the end. Cover up the timer though, as clock watching will make it harder.

Good luck😊x

I ran in the rain and I'm glad I did. I have done all the other runs outside and forgot about the weather.

I found running on treadmill easier than Road/park running. You don’t have uneven paths and hills to deal with. Having said that I like the challenge of a Road/park run and have just done w7r1 on the road/ park and tried to find a flatfish route to run. I found I really enjoyed it😊

I find running on a treadmill easier because of the ability to control speed, I mix and match these days based on where I am, treadmills when in hotels for work or holiday, pavements and footpaths when at home, overall doesn't seem to make much difference to my endurance or pace, each to their own, doesn't matter where you do it as long as you do it

Yes I agree. I decided to run outside and glad that I did.

I recently ran on a treadmill and was so much slower 😂 I just couldn’t up the pace. It must be mental. 🧐
