Did my first run yesterday. Not as bad as I though it would be. Just about to go on my second run. I know that we should take a break in between however with my shift work I can’t do that. So running today then I’ll run Thursday.
I just hope I always have that motivation to go out and do this because I feel like I need it. Like right now not so motivated :/ blah. Anyway any tips or motivations that u guys have and would like to share with me. I would take anything.

What those who are new to running do not realise is that as you run you cause micro tears in your muscles which repair and strengthen on your rest days not while running. No rest, no repair, no strengthening, therefore increased injury risk. You may get away with it for a few weeks, but it is highly inadvisable and you do not have to fit your three C25K runs into a week.
Hi. Thank you for the reply. No I’m not trying to make this a trend of doing two or three runs in one go. Is just for now. To tell u the truth with how lazy I am. I’m sure this will be the last time I do this.
But thank you so much for the information. I will definitely have a read! X
Re motivation - once you get past week 2 you'll want to go out and run, you'll feel something is missing if you don't. So keep going for a couple of weeks then it will take care of itself.
It’ll soon become a habit, and on the days you don’t you will start to miss it! Have you tried to ‘book’ in the runs in advance? Believe it or not you will start to look forward to them! Don’t be so hard on yourself, the guide mentioned is fab, well worth a read. Good luck.
Just keep going. It is unglamorous and sweaty but read ahead in these pages to those who "graduated" the 9 weeks and see how amazing they feel. See the immense high people have after W5R3 (the 20 minuter). It sounds impossible now but it isn't, even if it takes an extra week or 2. I'm only on week 3 but I'm enjoying it now and even though I'm only doing 5 minutes longest, I know I'll break the 20 when it comes. And then I'll feel AMAZING.
