After delighting in new running shoe purchase, my body did not like them on the run. Felt like it got a real hammering and stiff this morning. Anyone else have issues getting used to new shoes?

Yes, my right foot is the problem as it rolls in. My trainers have obviously corrected this, but my knee and ankle have been sore due to the correction. It has got better over the weeks, l think your body just needs time to get use to the adjustment. Hope things improve for you ☺

New trainers ought to be completely comfy from the word go. They absolutely don't need "breaking in". If you bought them from a proper running shop and they analysed your gait I'd take them back and grumble....
Yes, did the gait analysis and bought from reputable running shop. Feel really comfy, just noticed the ground/impact felt harder than before. These are Altra paradigm 3, so maximum cushion for minimising impact on joints. Not sure whether it’s a case of allowing body to adjust.
