Aaargh. Building up to a 5k at end of June. Week 8 run 1 in the bag. Changed direction as I reached last stride of run and bang goes the medial ligament. Truly gutted as long lay off awaits I suspect on the bloody couch I left eight weeks ago. Feeling pretty off about it to be honest.

Ah that is so frustrating! I totally understand how you feel as a lot of people on here probably will! But think short term pain for long term gain - you don't want to rush back too early & risk being injured for longer. Download loads of box sets & make the most of it. Hope it gets better very very soon for you.

Arghhh so frustrating. I really feel for you. I’m at the same stage and I’d be gutted too. The only thing to do though is take advice, rest up and make sure your properly fit before coming back. {big hug}

Oh so frustrating. 😡 I really sympathise having spent 4months on the couch at the start of the year. You will mend and then run again. See what you can do meantime to maintain some fitness. Xx

I feel your pain. This happened to me on W9R1 while I was on holiday. So close to graduation and Bang! I had to have Physio and restart from W2 and move up one week each run. The frustration of it but it was worth it. I have since graduated, ran a 5k race and am still running there times a week but build in extra rest from time to time. There is no magic solution. You need to rest it and give it time to recover . It is frustrating but please be patient.
