So annoyed!

So, I've made it to week 9, so far so good. Loved every minute of this journey and, think I might just shape up to be a runner.

Completed W9r1 on Saturday morning feeling amazing splashing through puddles and squelching through mud, wind and rain on my face - exhilarating! Fast forward to Saturday evening and I am completely wiped out with a flu bug. I've been off work for 3 days now but worse than that I'm in week 9 limbo. So close to graduation, pah!

To add insult to injury the new running kit I ordered arrived this week and I haven't even tried it on.

But looking on the positive side I'm hoping to go back to work tomorrow and to do W9r2 at the weekend.

Sorry for the rant, just so frustrating.

Happy running everyone ๐Ÿ˜€ X

  • Sorry to hear you're under the weather. Take your time and let it pass - after 8 weeks training you won't lose your fitness in a week. And as Rig' says, there are plenty more weeks ahead of you.

    Hope it clears up soon.

  • Put all that frustration in to your next run when you feel up to it and it will help to spur you on. You are almost there, this is only a minor set back. Good luck and I look forward to seeing your graduation badge next to your name soon :-)
