I always have a banana about 15 minutes before a run and find it gives me plenty of energy.
Decent cup of coffee in the morning.
I only have a cup of tea but I run first thing in the morning, then breakfast is my reward.
Maybe obvious, but a banana and a little water work wonders for me. Don't lie heavy on my stomach before a run. I've run after eating a meal 3 hours beforehand and really struggled but a small banana right before was fine! Go figure.

Week 2 is going to burn about 200 calories at best. A banana is 100 calories, and the carbohydrate in it is not going to fuel your muscles today. Sure, have a snack if that gives you the psychological kick to go for a run, but don't kid yourself that you need anything at all.
The water that you drank yesterday and the food that you ate yesterday are going to get you through C25K runs. No need to carry water for 30 minutes unless the weather is very hot and your run is not shaded.
But to answer your question:
2 almonds, or 1 date, or 2 jelly babies.
I don’t want before a morning run of 5k or less.
I like to run on an empty stomach, but if I have waited too long I have some diluted fruit juice and a handful of grapes. 😀
