Completed week 8 runs today. Actually did 29 mins today just to give me confidence that I can run for longer, despite feeling shattered. My only frustration is I am still a slow coach when it comes to speed and I am not getting any faster. I just don’t seem to have any energy. Any ideas on how to improve this possibly after graduation.

Well done. Don’t worry about speed.

There are (at least) three dimensions - duration, distance, speed. We’re worrying about duration.

After C25K, it’s up to you what you do.

I’m focussing on consolidating the 30 mins, then I want to extend my duration to reach 5k regardless of time, then I want to increase my speed to do the 5k within 30 mins.

That is the time to think about speed if that is what you want.

I know it’s going to take me the intermediate steps before I ramp up the speed because I’m still quite unfit. You might be able to just go faster. Who knows?

Don't worry about speed your doing great.

I find at my slow pace I ended up running 🏃🏃‍♀️ 5k on week 8 (without realising) as I was enjoying the pace/run/scenery so much. I did speed up for parkrun Saturday but suffered with hips following day and half. So Ive learned stay slow and steady 😊😉

😂😂😂 oh I'm having a bit of an unusual day here jay 😂

I sure did have hips just never felt pain from them until recent 😉😊
