Well done Adelwire , you've taken a huge step. Actually week 1 is quite tough I think, with all the intervals. I still have nightmares myself :) At this stage in the game, I think the mental challenge is just as important as the physical one.

As I'm sure others will say, for week 2, just be careful not to get giddy with your week 1 success and go too fast. Keep a nice steady pace, a slow jog is ideal, and if you feel yourself getting out of breath, slow down if you need to. Just to give you some hope, I found after the 3rd or 4th week that my recovery time was much faster and I wasn't anything like as out of breath. You'll notice little things like that which indicate you're getting fitter!

All the best for the plan, keep sharing on here and we'll do our best to encourage you.

The biggest battle is getting out there for the first time. So your highest hurdle is done. I tentatively dipped my toe into W3R1 today and can't believe how far I've come in just a fortnight. You will be the same. Congratulations!

Nice one Adelwire! If you stick with it you’ll be amazed at how much progress you make in a short time.

My advice would be do a bit of essential research like about running technique. Lots of YouTube vids to help. Also think about your running shoes.

Good luck with it all. It doesn’t take long to become totally addictive! 😀

Amazing isn't it! I was at your stage six weeks ago and never thought I would survive a huge five minute jog, the program is good, just plod your way along slow and steady. Keep your progress posted.
