Staring down the barrel of Week 5 - eeeek !!

Just finishing Week 4 - staring down the barrel of Week 5 !!

Run 1 - nothing scary there

Run 2 - a little challenging, run 8, walk 5, run 8 but confident i can do it with that nice little 5 min respite in the middle.

Run 3 - whoa there!! WTF? All of a sudden we jump from 8 mins to 20 mins running! Where did that come from?!!

Someone please tell me that its 'doable' and 'I'll be surprised'!

I'm trusting in the programme and hoping that it has prepared my body to be able to achieve 20mins non-stop running but at the moment I can foresee having to really dig ridiculously deep to achieve it!! And I may experience the most pain to date to get there!

Run two is a minute longer than run three. You actually do less on the third run.

ah i see - 8+5+8 =21

it was the running bit i was focusing on - walking is easy (er) !! and the 20 is non-stop !

Just finished week 5. I was dreading it but strangely the runs actually got easier! I just kept it slow and steady, got into a rhythm and cranked meatloaf up in my earphones! You can do this. I’m about 4 stone overweight and I did it so you’ll smash it I’m sure. Good luck

As long as you set off slow and remain slow 20 mins is totally doable! Promise (I’ve just done my first 28 min run which didn’t seem very doable this morning haha!)

It really is a mind over matter thing, it’s not half as bad as you think it will be.

The programme is really clever and is constantly preparing your body for the next run, you just need to keep up mentally believing in yourself.

You can 💪🏼 you will 💪🏼 and enjoy!
