Starting from scratch but feeling optimistic

Got to W7R1 and could no longer ignore agonising pain in achilles. After seeking some advice was very downhearted to discover I had to completely stop running for a few weeks and do lots of (tedious) Achilles' strengthening exercises every day. Ever obedient (hah), I did just that.

Yesterday, I started again W1R1 and it felt AMAZING. Admittedly, we're in the divine Isles of Scilly this week which are an awesome place to do anything anytime. Those exercises may be tedious but boy do they make a difference.

So glad you are back on track with your running. I have started again after my lay off which seemed like an eternity but was actually only about 3weeks. I did a run from W1 then W2 and finally this morning Arun from W3. The ankle feels much much better. I have a physio appointment in a couple of weeks but I still intend to start week 4 on Wednesday. Congratulations on having the motivation to begin again and I'll keep everything crossed that you make it to the end with no further injury.
