my daughters are shocked that the socks I wear for couch25k constrict so much above the angle that the skin takes on a different colour! On the basis that daughters are always right what does a 64 year old do to get a pair of socks that won't restrict blood flow?
where does one get running socks that have loo... - Couch to 5K
where does one get running socks that have looser elastic?
I just got a pack of 5 pairs from a run-of-the-mill sports shop. They don’t make my skin change colour though, so I think your daughter is right and you might need to get more comfortable ones. Hopefully some oracle-type graduates have some tips for you about specific brands
I bought mine at sports direct. Best to go into a sports shop and ask a member of staff. So much chose I didn't have a clue when I went trainers shopping, didn't know they sold running socks 😳
Get some More Miles Cushioned socks.. they are super...lower on the foot, and although there are lots of others too, I have these Set of five and funky colours
Amazon sell them
They're good. And even better they can co-ordinate with your different running outfits!
Oh yes.. I am great one for coordination ....
Plus 5 different funky colours mean they are easier to pair from the airing cupboard, when you need them in a hurry. However many running socks I own, the ones that I want to wear are never in my drawer and I have to go rummaging in the airing cupboard.
Maybe switch to a trainer sock that finishes lower on the ankle. I have always run in ordinary cotton socks with no problems and you can get ones with looser tops online.
I love my mono skin anklets. They are entirely stretch material so they don't have the tight cuff to stay in place. Wacky Sox are also good if you like something more fun!
I run in runnjng toesocks And never get blisters anymore either Karrimor are the best
Hi petro, I just wear those trainer liner socks - the thicker, towelling type. They seem to work well.
thanks. I have the invisible socks with no ankle cover and wasn't aware that they come in a thicker material. My running shoes are 1.5 sizes larger than my normal shoe.
I think I just got them at Aldi or something but I saw similar ones on SockShop: sockshop.co.uk/products/lad...
