Well Week 1 and first run completed. Cant really say it was a run more of a plod. This was Sunday and I was hoping to do run 2 tomorrow but my hips hurt. Should I wait another day or try as planned

Well done for completing run 1 and joining the programme - welcome aboard! :) I’ve recently been taking more days off inbetween runs if I am in pain. So, I would say wait and see how you feel tomorrow. If you’re in pain don’t run. If you feel fine, run. :)

I just finishes week3run1 and I can honestly say I am much less sore than week1, where everything was hurting! I have been reading running tips and have been trying to "engage my core" more and I think it's helping my hips feel less sore. I also stretch for about 10 minutes after each "run"!

Well done on getting run 1 under your belt! If your hips hurt (and not in a “bit stiff because you’re not used to using the muscles, but just need warming up again” way, but in a “really, stop this right now” way) then I would take another rest day - an extra day’s rest is better than an enforced stay on the injury couch! And make sure you stretch post-run - it’s really important.
