W6R2 complete - things I learned along the way

So after a dismal time on W6R1 i had hit a wall.... But posts from Jay66UK & Pancakes gave me the push I needed to not give up. I am just back from W6R2, I'm not enjoying any kind of high, I really had to grind for that last 5 mins but here's a few things I learned:

A steak slice and bottle of Lucozade do not a good pre run meal make

The sun brings out all the people on the canal path... Makes it a bit more challenging maintaining a steady pace. Plus one feels obliged to look the part of a runner and not like a carrier bag being blown along in a strong breeze

In Falkirk today there is an oddly high number of older bald headed men driving around in BMW Z3s with the top down

A friend of mine who runs suggests doubling your hydration routine on rest days, I think I need to start doing that

Lastly, if you've gotten this far down my inane drivel, I learned that even when I think I can't do it.... Actually I can

Happy trails all 😁😁

Well done! Won't be long until your shiny Graduation badge is reflecting off the heads of those bald BMW drivers! ⭐️🌞

Well Done, keep it up. Have you considered that it may have been the same men who kept driving past to see this amazing tornado?
