So I went to the Osteopath. And it’s come back to what I originally thought it might be: bursitis. The reason why I thought it might be down to my Piriformis is because I’ve also hurt my back again due to running/walking awkwardly the muscles have tightened in my right leg and glute.
I’ve had ultrasound and acupuncture on my hip to treat the bursitis and he’s given my lower vertebrate a good crunch. Now feeling very sore but at least I know I’m on the mend now. Ice packs and ibuprofen for now.
Not allowed to run for a week but I can go to the gym, do non impact work and work on my core (relieved younger son who now doesn’t have to do Parkrun tomorrow!) and then we’ll see how it goes.
Bit fed up as the momentum has now just dried up. It was going to be tricky after finishing C25K but now I just feel that I may have hit a wall 😟. I’ve only been able to do 2.5 runs since graduating on 7th May. Am I giving myself too much of a hard time, it’s not that long is it?
