Not much to report apart from I’m in my last week! A few weeks ago I was dreading the 20 minute run and now that’s no problem.
When Laura says 10 mins to go that’s when my brain shouts ‘ What the hell??! That’s too long - you can’t possibly do it!’ But guess what I did. Shut up brain - my body knows best! 👊🏼
2 to go.....!!

Me too, just done mine this morning and I know what you mean when she says ten mins to go.... I thought What?? Surely I’m further than that? then I carried on and for the last couple of minutes I was telling myself off” come on!! You can do this!! One more minute!! Don’t you dare give up!!”
And then I did a little dance for joy when my brisk walk finished. Not as fast as I have been but still pretty good too.
Sounds like we did a twin run!! That’s exactly how my run went. That last 10 mins then goes suddenly and becomes 60 seconds left and you’re like ‘ yeah I’m gonna pick up my knees and go for it’! When is your graduation run?
Well I’ve been running every other day except twice when I left 2 days between ( once when I had a sore thigh and once when we hiked all over Lundy Island for the day for my daughters birthday) so run 2 is Saturday and run 3 would be Monday but I am going to drive up to Bridgwater , to my daughters house and then we will run our Graduation run together on Tuesday night after she gets home from work. We started together and she has encouraged me when I struggled so it’s only fair we finish it together. What about you?
Sounds lovely. It’s daft I live near so many lovely beaches and not once have I run near one. But the Tarka Trail is lovely to run on. I get accompanied by bunnies quite often.
I’m not sure how I feel about park runs. Too many people in my way. I did a Race for Life a few years ago and just wanted everyone to get out of my way so I could actually run instead of shuffle - ended up feeling really grumpy 😡 unsociable bugger aren’t I?
Ha ha funny! Running with crowds will hopefully hide my ‘newbie’ running status! I like the beach (not on the sand) as it’s a lovely flat straight. Just hope it’s not hot on Monday! Good luck with your next run - keep me posted.
I’m going to consolidate mine once I’ve graduated by following week 9 for another 3 or 4 weeks before I go off on my own I think. But reluctant to let it go!
Yes me too . Not ready to go out without Laura! I'm going to do another couple of weeks. I read somewhere here that it's good to get up to twelve weeks before altering anything distance wise.
What do you mean? Not much to report ... look where you are.....fantastic........I was utterly elated when I did my first W9 run earler this week .Even had a little Victory Weep! ( I'm a bit highly strung!)
What is a Graduation? I'm new here but I've finished W9 run 3 this morning. Really thrilled gonna smile all day.
Thanks!!! GRADUATUON is completing the whole 9 weeks. You’ve done amazing! Get yourself a ‘graduate’ tag after your name by replying to admin. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Amazing. I just completed week 9 run 1 too. And it feels brilliant. I did it slower because I know its the full 30 mins, I'm going try do it a touch faster in the next run. Good luck!!
