Week 3 run 1 eeeek!!

Well it's week 3 run 1... I really wasn't looking forward to 3 full mins running, seeing as I found week 1 so hard.

So I set off full of dread, convinced this was going to be too hard. During the 90 secs run I gave myself a mental kick up the butt and settled in.

So two x 3 mins runs later and it's done. Yes 3 mins is harder and yes the second one I thought would never end. But I did it.

You really can defeat yourself mentally before you start with this running lark, or maybe that's just me?

Anyway if anyone is reading this who hasn't started week three, believe you can do it because you can. Follow the programme because it prepares you and if it gets hard just run slower but keep running. You got this!!!

Week 3 run 2 on Tuesday then. 😊

It's mainly in the head.


It's almost totally a mind game really. Your darned limbs send all these "Ow, can't do it" messages to your brain and your brain goes off in some weird direction. Sometimes it's best to ignore your brain cos it's an idiot.

Mentally you've done W3 now. So relax. No pressure. You've beaten those gremlin chappies!!


well done. I think marathon runners say its 90% mental and 10% physical so keep going slow and you will get there X
