W7R2 stress relief...?

Just about managed the 25 min ‘run’ this morning but wish I had left it til tomorrow really. I’m stressed due to starting a new job leading to poor sleep and upset stomach and hoped my run would help but after 10 mins I just wanted to give up and slowed down so much you could have walked past me. Not feeling happy about continuing 😐

Hey don’t best yourself up about it. Despite all the negatives today you still completed the run! Well done! Doesn’t matter how slow you ran. Another one ticked off and one step closer to graduation. 👊🏼

You’re right- I didn’t give up, just hoped to feel better after my run than before... 💁🏻‍♀️

You will. Have an extra rest day and go for your next run fully energised. Mind over matter! If you go in feeling down/ negative it will affect your run. We all have bad runs and I’m sure your next run will leave you feeling very positive. Go for it!

We all have bad runs now and then. Don't let it discourage you. Every run you do helps build your running legs. The next run will be better. Often when I have a bad run, my next run after it is fantastic!

The mindset you bring in to a run can be the experience you get of the run. And other times the run can blow all the cr@p of real life away.

W7 is blooming hard work - I did R3 today - and it is a lot about pushing through the desire to stop. With loads of real life stuff going on, it was never going to be easy.

Good luck with the next run - perhaps go a little slower and make sure you are hydrated/have enough fuel on board. You will get there!

I think it’s always important to say sometimes “nope, not feeling it today” and give the run a miss - it’ll still be there in a couple of days!

I agree. This is why I’ve only ever run once with a hangover (even partial).

Rest up... we are often too hard on ourselves... Have an extra days rest and when you fell properly better, the head out again.. carry on slowly... ( Snails rock )...

Big hug xxxx
