I did w5r2 tonight which was an effort! Finished red faced and breathing heavily - thatβs because (not!) Iβm in the top 10% with average pace of 4.59 min/km π (if only!)
Map looks like I was running randomly all over the place - not 2 circuits of a park! Anyone else use this (or others) and any ideas why this happened?

π Donβt think the guys playing football in the middle of the playing field would be impressed! They looked very professional with their strips and spectators
I used map my run for the first time today- wasnβt quite as wild as yours but definitely wasnβt convinced it was that accurate - Iβll be flying through 5k if it is!(and I can assure you Iβm not)
My birthday is a couple of months away so hoping I can keep the running up and perhaps treat myself to some kind of watch/tracker - although I donβt think shoes can wait that long.
?? Will need that translated! Google says a watch! A friend who has run for years uses strava - do you need a watch to use that - I did read gps on watches is better than phones
Don't think you need a watch with Strava. I think it's like MapMyRun but more "hardcore". Download the free version and give it a try. If you like it then make sure you set the privacy settings to maximum tho....
First and foremost, well done for finishing the session. I bet it does feel good to have completed that one.
Secondly, as said above, I'll bet GPS. Did you make sure the app was running in the foreground?
I used to use that app, until I found out how to use my Fitbit Charge 2 to track sessions, using GPS linked from my phone. If you have one, you could try that?
Firstly, you need to make sure that the "Run" exercise is set up on your device. You can use the app to do this. Let me know if you need me to go through that.
When you're about to start your run, close all other apps apart from your podcast or MP3 player, then open the FitBit app. I only advise this as my phone can sometimes get flaky if I don't do that.
On your Charge2, press the button a few times until your exercise section appears (I have "Run" as the first entry, but this could be any of about 10, I think. Tap the screen until "Run" appears.
Hold down the button until the device buzzes. you will see a timer start.
Double check that the FitBit app is running in the foreground of your phone.
Your device should have a little smartphone icon to show that there is an active link to your phone. It should now GPS track your location.
Oh, one final thing, you will need to have given the FitBit app permission to use GPS tracking on your phone.
This is a summary, I can help with any more technical detail if you need.
I use the c25k app, my Fitbit app and my Samsung health app and music all at the same time! The samsung health and fitbit give me more or less the same results. If you start the run on your fitbit you can sync it to the app later...Don't even have to have the app open. I found that out by accident!
