Hi I pulled tendons in my ankle just over 2 weeks ago, brought new trainers and ankle support. I was at week 4 second run

Do I start again or carry on from week 4 ?

Any advise would be appreciated

Thanks

Hi Alison - i would say for your first run start on week 3 - see how you feel and make sure you are comfortable on your ankle. If its all good and you feel good then get back onto week 4

Good luck - hope the first run goes well for you x

Take a jogette and see how things feel.. you will soon know how you want to proceed... slow and steady and if all feels well..then maybe try Week 4 Run 1, just for a warm up:)

Alison Take care tendons can be seriously hazardous to your health. I still remember the days I could not climb the stairs without pain but after long term physio I was or time was able to resolve these issues but I had to stop walking any form of distance for 4 years due to my Achilles. I still feel it occasionally and fear it coming back. I had a health test recently and was not quick enough to say don't strike there and was doubled over in agony for a good 5 mins so I know the issue is there but appears to be dormant but I have gone through the mill with it. I would ensure your ankle is right first and then repeat the previous week but that is just how I did it. I do stretching exercises on a stair where I stretch it down, feel the pull and hold it and then repeat. This has really helped over the years but friends that knew me then and still now say they can't believe the difference but rather than analyse it too much I just keep my fingers crossed.
