Well done! remember only run slow and steady, don't try and speed up, slow is best on c25k, and hopefully the new runner aches n pains will be minimal. Make sure you stretch your legs after running, gently stretching the calves 5-10 times a day should help, you can also massage with your fingers and a foam roller is very beneficial.. lots of great info in the link below.. and you'll find a good stretching programme there to..
Dave is right. Slow it right down. Even the warm up walk. I've done that after the advice on here & here I am at W5 already- never thought I would get that far. But I have & you will too. You've got the first run over with - that's the worst bit. Onward & upward from here. You can do it. Good luck.
Hey, well done for going out and completing your first run! Hurrah!
See you around fellow runner!

I'm sure pretty much everyone on here will say the first run is the worst! I remember struggling with the first 60 seconds and wondering how on earth I would ever manage week 2 and 90 seconds 🤣.... Fast forward 4 weeks and I'm running for 16 minutes, bought running shoes and have registered for a parkrun (and I am very overweight so this hasn't been easy). Go for it.. you can do this!!

Keep going. You can do this.
Quite sad really run a lot of marathons and half marathons but 15 years ago since my last one. Turned into a couch patato but finally had enough but didn’t expect it to be so hard making a fresh start

Well done! It’s good pain though 😂
I really ached after my first run, but I learnt to pace myself and I’ve been ok since. Are you stretching when you finish? I find that really helps me.
