Has anyone noticed a weight loss while working through the programme? My main aim is to improve my general fitness levels having spent most of the winter on the couch!! 😶

I am also swimming on my rest days and would quess i am currently 1.5-2 stone overweight. Just wondeted if this programme might help shift some of it??? (always hopeful!!) 😁

Not at first no but now 5 weeks in i think a few pounds are beginning to shift. Apparently you tend to lose inches in the right places rather than weight at the start and I’d agree with that. Good luck with the plan!

Definitely for me. A couple of pounds a week so far. I'm not being terribly conscious of improving my diet, but the waistband is definitely getting looser. 30 mins a week isn't going to a huge difference probably, but as your fitness improves your metabolism will speed up naturally. Hang on in there!

It seems to have made me think more about my health in general. Having a think about when and what I eat, combined with the running, seems to be having some effect on my weight, but long term change will take longer.

I’ve lost 7 lbs in the 9 weeks I’ve been at it, I’m currently in week 7. I also do yoga a couple times a week. I am snacking less but it hasn’t been a very conscious effort, just sort of naturally happened, don’t know if it’s due to c25k or not. I’m feeling good and my clothes are fitting a little better. I’m hoping I can continue to lose at this very manageable pace.

It definitely isn’t a weight loss plan, not everyone loses weight. I think that most people can expect some body recompositioning - i.e. fat loss and muscle gain, but the scale can’t measure that, so best to use the fit of your clothes or a measuring tape to gauge that if the scale isn’t showing any result.

Keep in mind you do not need to eat any extra to support c25k. No need to “fuel up”, drink any sports drinks or “carb load”. :)

You can not simultaneously lose fat and gain muscle, nor does running result in muscle gains, unfortunately.

Hi I have probably lost about half a stone but I am now about 2 Stone overweight. I am on W7r1 and have stuck with it 3 times a week. My fitness levels have definitely improved and I feel SO much better. Stick with it and your overall well being will be amazing. 🏃‍♀️ Happy running.
