No confidence!

I've just done week one. Fine I think.

Not feeling confident about running for 90 seconds as I can only just do 60 seconds.

Will give it a good go tho.

Is this normal or am I just extremely unfit?

Definitely not a glamorous hobby!😂

Hi Stellie:

I just did W8R1 yesterday....I cannot believe I can run 28 minutes straight when I could barely run the 60 second intervals in Week 1. And by barely, I mean semi-walked/fast-stumbled for the last 15 seconds.

Every week (especially at the beginning) I was absolutely POSITIVE I couldn't step up to the new times. I did each and every week except for Week 8. I had to travel for business and had no opportunity to run for 5 days....so I just repeated Week 7 to get myself ramped up for the big leap and it was surprisingly easy to do. Soooo pumped for next week, as I now have confidence that I can do it.

Trust me. Follow the program. Keep your running pace a little slow for Day 1 of your next week. Get ready to cheer yourself when you get 'er done!

Wow well done!!!

I'm so going to give it my best shot.

Moved to Wales 2 years ago and have been enjoying life way too much. Apart from being on crutches for 5 weeks after falling down steps and almost breaking both ankles.

If I'm honest I've used this as an excuse to be lazy.

Onwards and upwards though!!

I agree with cougarblu entirely! Every week I think I’m not ready too but the program works and you’re more ready than you think you are. I did struggle with the first run of week 4 but I just reran it, kept a slow pace and it was fine. Just keep going, you’ll surprise yourself 😊

Haha that's before I started to do the run. Me and my mates send each other silly pics when we are out 😂

I start week 6 tomorrow morning, honestly never thought I would/could have come as far as I have back when I started, but the programme will surprise you - as everyone says, take it nice and slowly and believe in yourself!

I know exactly how you feel, I've completed W1R3 and move to W2R1 tomorrow.... Must admit the 1st run was awful, so expecting the same for W2.... I reckon though that we'll surprise ourselves! 😁

I did it earlier!.....made a mistake trying some where else to run. Parked my car on where I thought was a pretty flat back lane and ended up doing a 5 minute uphill walk. Needless to say it wasn't very brisk but I was puffed out as I started the first run.

Managed it all without cheating too!!

You can do it ! 😊

It is a progressive plan with a superb structure and you can't fail unless you go back to the couch permanently.

The guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...
