An interesting item on You and Yours this lunchtime, on Radio 4. As part of an article about tackling obesity, staff and others at the BBC started on Couch to 5k in December, and told tales of some success, but setbacks with snow, weather, injury and flu. All quite similar to tales on here. A few fell off the wagon, one managed to finish. The interesting thing was that one woman who lost half a stone running, put it back on again after she stopped. But an analysis of her body fat/muscle, showed that despite stopping running, her body had changed - for the better - and that her fat content was now much reduced. Needless to say, that encouraged her, and she has determined to continue again with Couch. Probably able to Listen Again on the BBC Radio site, for those interested.
