Walking helps

Maybe of use to anyone who may be finding they are sore after runs. I have found that by doing a reasonably paced walk the day after a run helps greatly. I believe that this is because it gets blood moving In general and around the areas that are sore. Works for me, just thought I would share this. I see them as recovery walks.

An absolutely spot on observation.

Any non impact exercise on your rest days improves blood flow to stressed muscles, easing any aches and aiding recovery.

I agree; I’ve always found a ‘hair of the dog’ workout helps with any soreness although they’re usually the sessions I don’t want to do 😀
