W2R3 kinda done... It's not that I am exhausted or anything but the pain in my shins make even walking hard...never mind running... 😔 Anybody else experiencing this?

Pain in shins
Well I feel for you as I am in exactly the same boat- but mine is at the back at the top of my Achilles. I’ve also just completed week 2 run 3, but there’s no way I can carry on right now. I’ve had issues with my Achilles before but lower down. I’m hoping it’s a pulled muscle not tendon, but I’m afraid it is the tendon. I’m limping so can’t imagine getting back to running. So frustrated as I really want to do this!
Yes but mostly on my left leg. I wondered if maybe when I run (and walk) if I'm slightly bending inwards on that leg and putting a bit more strain on the muscle. Don't really know but yes I can relate to that totally. I'm no expert but I guess we are just using muscles more than they are used to.
I've suffered for years with shin splints which prevented me from even just quick walking sometimes. My shins were getting very painful in week 2 but now I've invested in a good pair of Asics trainers with plenty of support and had no shin issues running week 3. I would recommend looking into your gait / pronation to see if this might help you too
Which ones didyou buy? Want to see if I can get a new pair of running shoes. I think mine are just too old. Yes they are Nike but I have had them about 8 years... Kept them because they are so comfy....
sportsshoes.com/product/asi... These are the ones I have. I find this website really useful if you're looking for any new gear 👍
Happy running
