Well after 8 months of various set backs - a mystery inflammation illness, poorly knees, winter coughs and colds, then the garbage weather I finally think I’m back where I belong. Done my first 5k in a long time tonight in the boiling heat, longest run I’ve done since June/July last year when I was running 5&10k. It was probably slowest run I’ve ever done but I’m taking it steady to build up again. Really hope nothing gets in my way this time. Loving it

Welcome back and well done
Good for you. Easy does it and no pressure (that’s advice to myself too) 😉

Well done! Did you just run 5k after no running? Or has it been gradual ? I’ve started the program again from scratch to be on the safe side 😁
Very gradual and very slow. In December I went all out and ended up with a bad knee so I spent all January doing strengthening exercises then did a few 2.5k in February, building up to 3k in March and 4k this month managing 5 today - 8 minutes slower than I could do it before 🙈
